Charles R. Easley
Chairman of the Board

Mr. Easley is one of the original founders and co-owner of Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. (EMA) since its inception in 1976. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Board. Charles and his partner, Blaine have grown EMA into one of the most successful property tax firms in the country. With a history of over 45 years in the ad valorem tax business, he started his career working for Mobil Oil Corporation where he was responsible for the reviews and appeals of tax assessments on all of the marketing, pipeline, chemical and refinery facilities throughout the Midwest and Eastern United States. He later became a partner with a national property tax service firm, where he founded and directed the Atlanta Regional office.

Mr. Easley is a member of several professional groups including: the Institute for Professionals in Property Taxation, The International Association of Independent Property Tax Representatives, The International Association of Assessing Officials and a member and past President of the National Council of Property Taxation. He holds a B.S. degree, majoring in Business Education and Pre-Law from East Texas University. He is married to his wife Margaret, has one son and two grandchildren.

S. Blaine McCaleb, III
President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. McCaleb is one of the original founders and co- owners of Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. since its inception in 1976. He is currently President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. McCaleb has spent his entire career working in the ad valorem tax business. Prior to starting Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc., Blaine was a Senior Tax Agent for the Southeastern office of another large national property tax consulting firm and prior to that he was with Cole-Layer-Trumble, the largest national mass appraisal firm in the country.

Mr. McCaleb is a member of several professional groups including: The Institute of Professionals in Taxation, The International Council of Shopping Centers, Atlanta Apartment Association, National Apartment Association and The National Association of Industrial & Office Properties. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and is married to his wife Cynthia. They have two sons.

Erich Pfitzenmaier
Senior Vice President, Director of Sales & Marketing

Mr. Pfitzenmaier has been with Easley, McCaleb & Associates working in sales since 1992 and is currently the Senior Vice President, Director of Sales & Marketing. Erich is responsible for signing up many of the clients that remain with us today. He was promoted to Sr. Vice President in 2004 and is responsible for managing all aspects of the marketing department and our sales team. He is also responsible, to some degree, for the client retention of many of our larger, most profitable clients.

Mr. Pfitzenmaier graduated from the University of Georgia in 1988 with degrees in Publication Management and Advertising. He is a loyal bulldog fan and in his spare time enjoys volunteer diving at the Georgia Aquarium. He is married to his wife Jane and has two stepchildren, Hunter and Haley.

Tax Consultants

Neal Cooper
Vice President - Atlanta

Mr. Cooper joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. in 1996 and is currently Vice President representing properties in Georgia and North Carolina. Prior to joining EMA, Neal operated his own fee appraisal business for approximately twelve years. Other experience includes Tax Assessor’s Office employment as a Special Properties Appraiser where he worked with commercial, industrial, special purpose and residential properties.

Mr. Cooper graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA degree and a major in Real Estate & Urban Development. He is a member of the Georgia Association of Assessing Officials and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.

Betty Sellers
Vice President-Atlanta

Ms. Sellers joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. in 1996. She is a licensed Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina and represents EMA’s clients in these states. She also is a licensed tax agent in Tennessee. Prior to joining EMA, Betty was employed by another major tax consulting firm from 1989 to 1996. She also has several years experience working in finance and accounting which has given her the responsibility for the review and filings of personal property returns at EMA.

Ms. Sellers grew up in Asheville, NC and is a graduate of Western Carolina University. She is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women, Georgia Association of Assessing Officials, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and South Carolina Association of Assessing Officials.

Thomas W. Berry, III
Vice President - Atlanta

Mr. Berry joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. in 2008 and is currently representing clients’ properties in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. Tom's past property valuation experience includes many years as a staff appraiser with the firms of CB Richard Ellis and Everson, Huber & Associates where he performed appraisals on a large variety of commercial properties.

Tom has a B.A. in Marketing from Georgia Southern University. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in AL, GA, MS, NC, SC and TN. Tom is also a member of the Georgia Association of Assessing Officials, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute.

Daniel Knox
Tax Associate - Atlanta

Mr. Knox joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. in 2012 and is currently the Property Tax Associates representing real property in the states of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and North Carolina. Prior to joining EMA, Dan owned and operated a small property tax consulting firm where he represented numerous commercial property appeal cases on behalf of real estate owners and investors that resulted in generating significant tax savings on their behalf. Dan's past property valuation experience also includes many years as a staff appraiser with the firms of Kirkland & Company and Driggers Commercial Group where he performed appraisals on a large variety of commercial properties. He served as an advisor to the attorney and provided expert witness testimony on appraisal for litigation regarding title insurance in Fulton County, Georgia Superior Court.

Dan is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraisal in AL, GA, MS and NC. Dan is also a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute.

Nikky Green
Compliance Associate - Business Personal Property-Atlanta

Mrs. Green has over eight years experience in the property tax industry. Nikky, who joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. (EMA) in 2004, currently serves as Compliance Associate at our corporate office with responsibility for properties in Southeastern and Southwestern United States, which includes the States of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Virginia, West Virginia, Kansas, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Maryland, Louisiana, Arkansas, and West Virginia.

Mrs. Green is a graduate of The University of Phoenix with a degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Property Taxation (IPT).

Clark Mann, CMI, CRA
Vice President - Florida Regional Offices

Mr. Mann joined the Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. team in 1996 and brings over twenty-five years of full-time experience reviewing property tax matters throughout Florida. He currently manages the State of Florida, splitting his time between our Orlando and Fort Lauderdale offices. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing and appealing real property values as well as filing and auditing personal property. He has prepared and presented more than five thousand property tax appeals to the Value Adjustment Boards in the state.

Clark is a graduate of The University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Finance, a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida and a Certified Florida Appraiser. He is also a member of the Florida Association of Property Tax Professionals and the Florida chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers.

Deneen L. Maly, CMI, CRA
Vice President - Ft. Lauderdale Regional Office

Ms. Maly joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. in 1995, and is currently the Vice President serving the South Florida area. She has 16 years of experience in case preparation and presentation, in addition to negotiations with various taxing jurisdictions throughout the South Florida area. Ms. Maly has represented many large commercial properties on behalf of numerous real estate investors and institutions that have resulted in generating significant tax savings on their behalf. In addition, she has prepared and presented thousands of property tax appeals before numerous Value Adjustment Boards to argue valuation.

Ms. Maly is a graduate of AIFL, Florida International Association of Assessing Officers, and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. She is a Florida licensed real estate professional, and is a member of the following affiliations: Florida Association of Property Tax Professionals, Certified Member, Property Tax, IPT, International Association of Assessing Officers, and the National Association of Review Appraisers & Mortgage Underwriters.

William H. Parker, CMI (Bill)
Vice President - Dallas Regional Office

Mr. Parker is the Vice President and Team leader for EMA’s Dallas Regional Office. Bill joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc., in August 1993 as a Tax Associate in the Orlando, Florida office. Over the years, Bill has been promoted and transferred to multiple EMA offices including: San Francisco, Ft. Lauderdale and currently Dallas. His extensive experience includes contesting real and personal property tax assessments for a variety of property types including hospitals and other medical use properties, office buildings, apartments and retail centers. He has presented tax appeals in different forums including formal Value Adjustment Board hearings in jurisdictions across the United States.

Mr. Parker is a graduate of University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Finance and a licensed Texas Senior Property Consultant. He is also a Certified Member, Property Tax, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.

Paul Maquera
Tax Associate – San Francisco Regional Office

Paul Maquera joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. in 2009. Paul negotiates value reductions, prepares and presents appeal cases as necessary, performs assessed value reviews, fair market value analyses, provides property tax estimates and appeal recommendations. Paul currently represents client properties in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. He has over 10 years of commercial property valuation experience.

Mr. Maquera holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law, San Antonio. Paul is an Associate Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and an Associate Member of California Alliance of Taxpayer Advocates.

Todd Shebesta, CMI
Vice President - Milwaukee Regional Office

Mr. Shebesta joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. in 1992. He is currently a Vice President and Team Leader in the Milwaukee office. His responsibilities include engaging in tax assessment analysis, fair market value analysis, comparability analysis, appeal presentation and representation. He works closely with owners of various types of properties in reducing their real and personal property tax liabilities. He oversees appeals in Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Iowa, Kentucky, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Todd is a graduate of The University of Wisconsin with a B.B.A. in Real Estate/Finance, in addition to successfully completing many appraisal courses. He is a Wisconsin Licensed Broker and has an Indiana Level II Assessor Certification. He is also a Certified Member, Property Tax, the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.

Tony Luzi, CRA
Tax Associate - Washington D.C. Regional Office

Mr. Luzi joined Easley, McCaleb & Associates, Inc. in 2011, and is currently the Property Tax Associate serving the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Region based out of our office located in Fairfax, VA. Since joining EMA he has represented hundreds of appeal cases before both Assessment Officers & Value Adjustment Boards. Mr. Luzi has represented many large commercial properties on behalf of numerous real estate investors that have resulted in generating significant tax savings on their behalf. Prior to joining EMA, Tony had 5+ years’ experience in commercial appraisal specializing in office, flex industrial, multifamily, mixed retail and shopping centers throughout the D.C. area.

Tony has successfully completed numerous appraisal courses working toward obtaining an Appraisal License along with the experience of appraising hundreds of properties under the direct supervision of Certified General Appraisers.
